BBC Radio 4 recording- Listen now!

On Thursday 17th December, BBC Radio 4 Farming Today came into Dove Class to record a feature about the 'Why Farming Matters' school resources which have been created by the NFU (National Farmers' Union) and FACE (Farming And Countryside Education).

We also welcomed Briony and Dan from Blackacre Farm Eggs into school along with three of their birds (including Harriet the chicken!) to speak to the children about egg production.

The morning was a huge success, the children were captivated by the lesson, enriched by the Why Farming Matters resources and the brilliantly entertaining and informative explanations by Dan and Naomi.

The feature was broadcast on Farming Today on Christmas Eve morning at 5:45am. You can listen to the programme above- the article starts a 3:15 mins.

Dan and Briony (Blackacre Farm) introduce Harriet to the children.
